Review on 🍡 Pinky Up Presley Gold 70 Oz Tea Kettle - Premium Stainless Steel Induction Whistling Kettle for Stovetop Use by Lexi Hernandez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Divine but DANGEROUS

The ONLY reason I didn't return this kettle after first use is because it's so beautiful. It cost too much money to be so buggy. First, the description on the site is wrong: the handle doesn't fold. Second, more steam comes out of the top than out of the sink. Most importantly, the metal on the handle is extremely dangerous. The wood should only be used for decoration as there is no functional sense in allowing metal to peek out between pieces of wood. My hands can handle heat so I can pour water, but my advice to everyone else, PLEASE USE A STAND OR THICK CLOTH TO LIFT, OPEN AND CLOSE THE HOT KETTLE TOE. I rated this item for the first time on September 9, 2017. When I fell in love with this kettle and just replaced it, here's an update on my review: The color is nice but has changed a bit. As you can see, rose gold used to be more pink (see photo from 2017 on a white plate), but now it is more of a rose-copper tone (see photo from 2020 on a black plate). The shape of the handle has also changed slightly, with the wood tapering a little more on the outer edge than in the original design. The body of the kettle is also less round. This kettle is still dangerous, but I'm used to it. And I'm still in love with its overall aesthetic. I'll most likely be buying another backup/spare, so I've decided to change my rating from one star to three.
