Good quality product. I use this to dip meats like brisket to cook corned beef. I couldn't find a suitable material to keep the chest submerged, and things like concrete and brick are porous, meaning they can absorb brine and harbor bacteria and other unwanted substances inside. Cast iron = bad idea. Stoneware = porous again. This item was perfect for my needs, arrived in a box that was very padded and protected. I don't expect any problems. Quality product at a fair price.
