Much better in the kitchen and dining room

They are much better than the ceramic weights that come with the fermenting cups because they are non-porous. I can wash them in the dishwasher to disinfect them.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Expensive

Perfect for cucumbers!

They are amazing - very strong and perfect for my cucumber. I like the fact that they are glass - no chance of getting dirty and very easy to clean. I bought another set for a larger pitcher.

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Suitable for 1 gallon cans, suitable for fermentation and more

I bought a 5.5" jar with a 5.5" diameter and it fits standard 1 gallon -cans. "Very heavy, which is good. The one I received looks used, but overall it's pretty new. The price is expensive, so I'll only ferment one can at a time".

  • Handy item

Perfect for my pickling use

later I like the fact that it comes in two pieces which makes it easier to use in my smaller mason jar. I am more than willing to order another set to get the weight I need for my other pickle jar which is larger. I like the fact that it's glass and not ceramic which can probably absorb the taste of the brine juice. I also use it to smoothen other foods like tofu.

Pros
  • Dope 🔥

Glass seemed like a better product than traditional weights.

I've been waiting for a review of glass weights until I try them. Glass seemed like a better product than the traditional weights that come with a pot as they can be cleaned and sterilized. It's more of a personal preference. I found the others just too porous. I made 30lb sauerkraut with glass weights and everything was just perfect. I love you, good luck!

Pros
  • I keep my fists
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Perfect for my needs.

Good quality product. I use this to dip meats like brisket to cook corned beef. I couldn't find a suitable material to keep the chest submerged, and things like concrete and brick are porous, meaning they can absorb brine and harbor bacteria and other unwanted substances inside. Cast iron = bad idea. Stoneware = porous again. This item was perfect for my needs, arrived in a box that was very padded and protected. I don't expect any problems. Quality product at a fair price.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

VERY SATISFIED! the best in home brewing and wine making

Haven't tried them in my Harsch jug yet but it's not hard to imagine they will work well! The ceramic weights attached to the shard gave me a headache, and then the pain went away! The originals have ruined every batch of cabbage I've made, despite efforts to clean and sterilize OCD. I even tried sucking her and still had problems. To get straight to the point - these glass panels are beautiful and obviously made with pride! Beautifully polished and have very smooth edges. The packaging was…

Pros
  • Brilliantly made

WORKS GREAT - 5.5 inches fits in a standard gallon salt jar.

I'm still a fan. New to fermentation so I make batches of sauerkraut in glass brine jars. Before getting this I would use the water-in-a-bag approach, but this is better. Easy to clean with soap and water, then I disinfect it with running alcohol and let it air dry. You can also cook it. The 5.5 inch size is perfect for a standard 1 gallon salt can. Once I place the weights on the sauerkraut, I gently press it down until it's submerged in water and stays in place with about an inch of brine on…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
