I was a bit hesitant to buy it at first, mainly because I thought it might be too fragile or too thin for everyday use. I was wrong. The surface of this board is bamboo and I have come to the conclusion that this is actually one of the best cutting surfaces. Our cat is already very old and he has to cut his food into small pieces. We use a chopping board for this every day, and to be honest, the last one shows actual utensils. This board just wore out and looked like we just bought it for the first time. I am now seriously considering buying another one and have no hesitation in saying this is a great board for the price.
