Review on πŸš€ Motorola MB8611 DOCSIS 3.1 Multi-Gig Cable Modem: Ideal for Xfinity Gigabit, Cox Gigablast, Spectrum & More! by Jeff Aulia

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Recommended by this cable tech

Speaking of cable tech for one of the big companies, this one runs on less heat (less heat, more efficient with power) and is more stable (almost doesn't fall out as easily due to low dBmV or low MER) than the Ubee, Technicolor, and Arris models that my company "packages for free". And yes, AQM also works with the Cisco CMTS that we currently use as our hubs, at least in my city where I work. I bought one in December and it runs on the server without interruption. Of course, line damage or RF leakage issues still need to be repaired, but I've seen this happen more than once with weak signal over coax (sometimes even negative dBmV levels from a tap), but this modem still stays locked out with no issues. That's impressive, and only one or two of the modem models we offer for rent (business class only, not consumer) come close to this feat. Any one star reviews you see here will most likely be serious leaks inside or outside the home, almost never the modem itself with a well made model like this MB8600. If the manufacturer changes who designs and makes this (ie: no more Motorola engineers) I'll update this review. Until then, 5 stars and my unofficial (can't speak for the company I work for of course) but personal endorsement based on experience.
