I tried to send photos but Revain refuses. My intention was to show the gold foil printed trademark, which bothered at least one reviewer. Yes, it's big compared to the book. The book measures 4" x 6" and the logo on the back measures approximately 5/8" tall and 2" wide. If you don't want it to stand out, black permanent marker works well to minimize the aesthetic impact of the logo. I've had a nice leather cover for over 15 years and as long as someone makes a book the right size I don't have to buy another one so the cover was worth it. This book is the perfect size. The best thing about any blank book has to be the paper, and this one has paper that can withstand a variety of media, even watercolors (although the paper warps a bit). Alcohol art markers will bleed through paper like other markers when applied hard, but I don't consider this a flaw of the paper. When using media that can leak, I place a piece of plastic I cut from the plastic sleeve of a spiral notebook under the pages. The bold line pattern shines through the paper well enough to write clean lines, while most pens can write or draw on either side of the page without sacrificing legibility. The binding is flexible enough to add inset content such as photos, business cards, or other small items, but if your main goal is to add ephemera, it's better to use a different type of binding. Selection. Overall, this is a great compact book for a magazine or sketchbook, even as a free-form daily planner, especially if you're traveling or plan on carrying it around.
