Review on 🖨️ Enhance Your 3D Printing Experience with ESUN Filament Printer Printing Printers by Kirt Phillips

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Need perfect printing conditions and a very precise extruder and combo hotend

Soaked out of the box, steamed in the extruder, I put the roll in the oven at 75 degrees for over 6 hours. and the material became so brittle that it could not be wound and printed without tearing. 5 failed prints on 3 different printers and done. Very disappointed in Esuna. This was clearly a terrible batch of filament right off the spool because it got tangled up before I even printed anything. : UPDATE After printing more intensively with this filament, I would like to upgrade my rating to 3 stars. It's still very finicky and difficult to print, but once the nozzle is perfectly clean and you use a Mosquito Bond Tech Combo for extrusion or a very high quality alternative, you can get this material to print with very good strength, albeit incredibly rough . surface cleanliness. All PACF filaments have a slightly rough surface, but this one is quite uneven compared to Polymaker or SainSmart. However, Sainsmart skimps a bit on carbon fiber and hence their product looks better but has a lot less stiffness and strength, especially in the final batches. So I'll test my parts and update this review again depending on performance, but durability seems pretty good. It just needs a lot of polishing to look and feel decent. I'll probably stick with Polymaker for production models, but it looks decent enough for testing.

Pros
  • Heat resistant carbon fiber filled nylon
Cons
