Review on Stanley Hardware S826-008 BB8022 Solid Doorstop: Stylish Polished Brass Accessory for Secure Door Restraint by Beth Pujol

Revainrating 5 out of 5

My only regret is not buying a 10 pack to start with

Loved these doorstops. They look good and work well. I bought one and it was brilliant. I was actually able to get it in without drilling a pilot hole. I literally used my bare hands to get the best out of it and at the last minute I screwed it in with a wrench. I wasn't aware there were more traditional methods of screwing them in, but being able to literally just use my hands might be the way to go if you get into trouble. Maybe I got "creative" because the kit didn't come with really good installation instructions and I was just pouting. One review said they weren't good for stepping on, but I haven't tried stepping on them lately. All doors open where people don't normally go; and all stoppers work great. I should also note that they don't work as well compared to other stoppers, including those from Lowes. I wish we'd bought more of these to begin with rather than experimenting with four other doorstops (two of which were available on Amazon, including a magnetic option). They do what they need for a good price, they're pretty easy to install and they look good.

Pros
  • . Like everything before
Cons
  • Compatibility
