This OTC 7248 tool for pressing the U-joint C-frame, brake anchor pin and ball cage is very heavy for its size and should work just fine. Will not bend, break, warp or break as it is a high quality C-frame press. Used to remove 10 year factory universal joints on both drive shafts on a 2003 Jeep Wrangler TJ 4.0L with 115,000 miles. traveled to Texas and back after 9 winters in Alaska, half of which were in Fairbanks, AK with sub-zero temperatures for this type of factory OEM universal joints that cannot be lubricated. Winters that have dropped to -40ยฐF. <--Talk about the original factory gimbals frozen with rusty orange needle bearings after all this time! This thing made them relatively easy to undress with a little elbow grease. In Spring 2014 we will also be using a 10+ year old Jeep TJ Ball Joint Puller with the required OTC 7894 Jeep/Dodge Ball Joint Service Adapter and it should work fine. NOTE. Jeep JK Wranglers are different and require a different adapter. I don't know what it is because these new Jeeps are different from the older Jeep CJ/YJ/TJ/MJ/XJ models in that regard. Jeep maintenance as I won't be paying anyone $95 an hour. doing something that I can easily learn and do as I have never done this type of work before as it required a REAL tool (like this) and this is being done to make it a relatively easy task. I just took the time to think about it while doing the work. I would highly recommend this tool for what I used it for: the car I used it on and to mention above I bought a new one with 7 miles in late 2003. Hinge/Ball Joint Replacement: Highly Recommended!*
