These items were amazing. I took my 6 year old and 3 year old kids skiing for the first time and the second day they were able to ski down rabbit hill. The two key components were those clips and the attached backpack. The harness allowed me to control their speed and help them get on and off the chairlift. The clamps were designed to just clear the snow or keep the skis parallel. I've seen a few other parent-child combos with just harnesses, but children often lose control when their ends fall apart, causing them to fall. If I could I would probably give 4.5 stars as it comes from the skis. several times during our trip. Reinserting them was a little annoying, but I suppose there's a balance between cutting too tight and leaving marks on the skis.
