Review on Transform Your Analog Devices: AVerMedia ET111 Video Adapter Converts Composite/RCA/AV to HDMI Output by Damon Atonyo

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good base converter for budget users

This device serves its purpose. I emphasize that this is a simple adapter, not an upscaler. High-end devices tend to be larger and much more expensive. However, if you have a component input device that you want to output via HDMI, e.g. B. a PlayStation 2 console that you want to connect to a computer monitor, this works fine. One of the biggest disadvantages is that this device requires external power supply via USB. A regular USB charger plugged into an outlet will work, but the USB cable on this device is very short, so using a USB male-to-male extension cable is recommended. Both items can be bought relatively cheaply and I still recommend having them at home as they are just about the most useful and flexible item any electronics owner can have in their home these days. It's set up, this device seems to be working fine. Picture quality looks the same as connecting the same devices to a TV with a component input, and I haven't had any issues with the input through the adapter yet.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
