I haven't had the opportunity to test it. I loosened the clamp too much, then 2 sponges and 2 springs fell out. After a long search I found only one feather. Now the jaws are back in, but there's still a spring missing and that jaw is loose. They didn't protect us from losing the jaws by deforming the threads or adding a screw/pin to stop the ring before the jaws were lost.
