Review on πŸ”Œ Enhancing Connectivity with Socket Communications CM7100 510 Wireless Bluetooth by Pablo Rudon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for your Pocket PC

I bought this to use with my Pocket PC when Wi-Fi isn't available. It's actually a pretty cool little thing. The modem measures approximately 3 x 3 x 1 inches and is battery operated so it does not require its own power outlet. Connect it to a nearby phone line; turn it on; Turn on the PDA (if Bluetooth is available); and call. The setup was a bit difficult at first. The included documentation is woefully inadequate and it took a tech support ticket to their website (which is often unreachable) to get full Socket installation instructions. Once I had them, it only took me about 5 minutes to adjust all the settings and get it working. A good choice for those looking for a small portable external modem for a laptop or PDA with Bluetooth support.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Nothing
