I bought this over a year ago when we still had a dial-up connection. It was like my wi-fi without wi-fi. I don't use it that much now that we have Wi-Fi, but I used it a lot when we had dial-up access. It gave us a lot more freedom with our laptop! Highly recommended for those still using dial-up Internet access. It even comes with a nice pouch to keep everything together for travel.

Like the other reviewer, I had trouble connecting. You will be given a CD to help you out and I thought it would be pretty easy, just fill in all the usual information and you're done. no I've been trying for about an hour and couldn't figure it out. The next day I did it within 45 minutes (and I think the problem was that I entered the password number dialed on the modem, I think I accidentally pressed something before I entered all the correct #s and it isn't that I can't just try re-entering

I unboxed my BT modem, connected to Palm Tx and it worked within 5 minutes. It works great and is very easy to take with you on trips and use when wifi isn't available.

I bought this to use with my Pocket PC when Wi-Fi isn't available. It's actually a pretty cool little thing. The modem measures approximately 3 x 3 x 1 inches and is battery operated so it does not require its own power outlet. Connect it to a nearby phone line; turn it on; Turn on the PDA (if Bluetooth is available); and call. The setup was a bit difficult at first. The included documentation is woefully inadequate and it took a tech support ticket to their website (which is often unreachable)

This modem simply connects to the phone line with the included phone cord. Turn on the bluetooth tethering itself and your bluetooth device and voila! It works out. The installation guide is easy to follow and requires you to use your computer with Active Sync. It is also necessary to create a partnership between the two Bluetooth devices so that they can recognize each other. These details are easily explained in the instructions accompanying the product. No cables required for modem connection. maybe a bit dated, but a modem for dialing out to routers and such is still important. Works great with my PDA as modems are almost no longer made for it.
