Gorilla Tape is known for its strength, but its application is not equally effective in all circumstances. For example, if you put it on a surface that always keeps the same stable shape, it's probably fine. But if you put it on a surface that flexes and flexes, eventually that deformation actually pulls away from the tape. Plus, waterproofing is a big promise. I wouldn't use this as a patch on a tent or inflatable jet ski, for example. This is a task for more specialized patches that are thermally bonded or bonded with an acidic glue that melts and fuses both contact surfaces.
