I have a fairly complex setup - Win 10 and Win 7 laptops and a few Linux computers. The next important thing to understand is the really AWESOME feature of this switch, which is the ability to plug a USB hub into the front USB port, which will then switch to any computer connected to the KVM is. All devices connected to this hub will be recognized by the target computer when it is switched on. THIS FEATURE ONLY WORKS IF the hotkey option is OFF. So be prepared to play around a bit to get all the KVM features working, especially on a Windows machine. .
