Doesn't last much more than a couple of hours

I bought a pair of these to connect to two Macbook Pros, two Raspberry Pis and two Dell P2715Qs and a Mac keyboard (wired) and a Microsoft mouse ( wired). I connected one to two macs, a pi and a monitor and the other to two macs and another monitor. Immediately, neither the keyboard nor the mouse connection worked properly. The keyboard didn't even move forward when detecting the Mac, and the mouse moved but didn't click. I disabled the mouse function as instructed and was able to click but not

Works great once you get the hang of it

I'm impressed with this device after figuring out how to set it up, but it took a little longer than me, although partly due to the nature of Microsoft Windows . I have a fairly complex setup - Win 10 and Win 7 laptops and a few Linux computers. I struggled with the instructions to the end until I realized most of the answers were there if you understand Chinglish. The first thing you need to know is that the mouse and keyboard initially have no power unless you have the "Hot Key" option…

Gets the job done in computer components

Pros: Gets the job done. Small, durable metal housing. Four sets of cables are already included. The monitor syncs fairly quickly (making it easy to access the BIOS if needed). The support team responded to all my questions very quickly. Cons: Proprietary cables, as far as I know, don't make them longer or shorter. It would be very useful if (like some other models) there was a separate indicator for each port to show that the computer was on. new logitech kit. It doesn't even seem to be…

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Available in white only

I bought this unit because I liked the easy connection on the back of the unit for any PC connected. I upgraded from an old KVM with VGA ports and speaker/mic cables. My old KVM was just a workhorse, never stalled or let me down, just worked exactly as expected when I hooked up a server or PC for repair; I was hoping it would be a simple replacement, updated to use HDMI. Good: For the most part, this is a pretty good replacement for my outgoing KVM. I've even used regular HDMI cables as well as

unreliable; USB keeps crashing

We've been using two of them for our home office for about a month now. A 4 port and a 2 port. Both show the same problem. From time to time, and for no apparent reason, the USB ports on one or more (but not all) devices will simply turn off. Despite extensive testing, we could not find a common cause. Sometimes the error is temporary. After a few seconds, the USB ports will work again. Nothing works during this "shutdown"; as if all USB devices are disconnected. When this happens, it often…

TO UPDATE. May not be the best KVM switch

UPDATED (Original title: Ultimate KVM Switch). While I was overall very happy with this switch, I'm no longer thrilled with it. The second port failed just a few months later. It can't find either the monitor or the keyboard/mouse, or both. The same laptop and cables on the board will work fine with other ports. I think the problem here might be that there's nothing really holding the cables securely in place. So if they move when you connect different things, the inner pins can get bent or…
