Review on Giro Disciple Helmet Matte Black by Justin Steele

Good full face helmet

I ordered a medium sized helmet based on the size chart and it fits perfectly. If you've never worn a full-face helmet it might feel a bit tight, but if the helmet isn't snug, it's too big to properly protect you. But it shouldn't be uncomfortable. The D-ring strap is well padded and once you put it on you won't even notice it. It's not super light, but it's light enough for the protection it offers. I wore it for almost 6 hours on Saturday and it was absolutely comfortable. The padding isn't too thick or uncomfortable anywhere like some helmets, and the earcups are perfect. I didn't use the camera mount or the headphone/speaker channels, but these are nice features. My GoPro camera mount didn't have a knurled nut or anything, but that's probably normal. It's not worth the call anyway. The adapter works fine when needed, which is nice. I'm more concerned about safety features that I hope will never be needed - ample padding, solid construction, MIPS, removable cheek pads, etc. As someone who has worked at EMS for over a decade, I really appreciate this feature - somewhat , which I can only see in high-end motorcycle helmets. This helps remove the helmet with minimal manipulation of the neck. Good. I've only used the helmet once so far, but I'm very happy with my purchase.
