After reading some of the reviews on this product (how cheap it feels and how it smells) I was 50/50 about how I would feel about getting it but I went anyway take a risk. and I'm glad I did! I gave this 5 stars because the quality and quantity you get for $25 is amazing! Let's face it: 21 crochet hooks plus tons of other accessories for one affordable price. You can't beat it anywhere! It arrived a day ahead of schedule which was amazing (I bought it Sunday afternoon and received it Monday afternoon, literally within 24 hours!) is a plus. It didn't have a strong odor when it arrived as some reviews said, another plus. I got every single item I was supposed to get and actually got a BONUS! Everything looked brand new, didn't look used or feel like another reviewer said and it was amazing. Nice solid case with some room for a few extra hooks etc just a bit. The tape measure was a bit bent when I unfolded it to see how long it was, but that's okay, it's easy to fix. The measuring tape reaches a length of 60 inches, retracts easily with a button and is easy to use, non-stick, locks into place during measurement for accuracy and ease of use which is amazing. The ergonomic hooks look fantastic and do what is advertised. The aluminum hooks appear to be high quality and durable. The scissors aren't the best in the world, but they're not the worst either, they're actually pretty decent, compact, and get the job done. Overall I'd say it's pretty impressive considering each hook can cost $3 or more. 3 x 21. You do the math! And this does NOT include needles, tape measure, ruler, scissors, row counter, ring marker, stitch marker. and so on. I think this set is suitable for everyone, especially for beginners. IF I have to name something I didn't like about this set, I would name the range of hook sizes (but honestly I can't say anything wrong, I just did it to be objective). Some of these were repeated, for example I got a 6.0mm hook on the aluminum side but also got a 6.0mm J hook on the ergonomic side. The range is 2.0 to 8.0mm on the aluminum side and 2.0 to 6mm. 0 mm on the ergonomic side. Pretty good! Would definitely buy again and probably very soon. on the way to my moms house and i know once she sees it it wont be mine lol! to remain objective).
