Review on ❄️ Frost King FC1 Outdoor Foam Faucet Cover: Efficient Protection Against Freezing (2 Pack) by Andrew West

We bought a house and couldn't find an external shut off valve anywhere! We crawled underground, checked water heaters, everywhere! Out of desperation I bought this thing for the coming winter. Until recently (January 2014) it was too soft to judge. As of yesterday, July 1st, 2014, it was -12 outside. Damn minus twelve! I was sure these faucets would freeze and the pipes would burst. My neighbors have! This morning I removed the lid and reluctantly turned on the faucet, expecting nothing to come out. To my surprise, even though it was freezing cold, the water came out in a normal stream. No frosts in -12?! I hope my tests don't let it down now, but I just wanted to know if they worked or if it was a trick. All 4 external taps worked perfectly. It was so comforting, especially after watching a water treatment truck pull into my neighbor's driveway because similarly located outside faucets froze and the pipes attached to it burst in their wall. I wasn't expecting much, but I'm very glad I took the risk. My suggestion is to buy them. I'll probably change them every year just to be on the safe side, but I'll use them!
