Review on Dixie 12 oz White Cold Cups- 300 Count Pack, Not Available by Stephen Tharpe

Possible health risks (unknown to consumers?) also with cold acidic drinks and/or diluted spirits or liqueurs.

I just used one of these mugs and wax got into my drink very quickly (bought at Walmart). Exactly the same mugs as these. I've of course noticed that it says cold cups on it, but there are no warnings or anything on the ENTIRE PACKAGING about what not to put inside. Am I swallowing safe wax or something else? I don't know because Dixie doesn't say anything to anyone on the packaging. Of course, DO NOT USE THIS FOR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, even if it's a mild liquor like Jack Daniels honey diluted with ice cubes and lemonade. That's what happened. I poured a weak 35% JD honey mixed with ice cubes and cold lemonade poured first. In just 30 minutes, one side of a cold paper Dixie cup becomes almost transparent, like the wax just dissolved in my drink! Half a cup of wax came loose for reasons unknown (I can only guess at the small amount of alcohol in the liqueur). Let me reiterate the important health reason I posted this. The packaging says **NOT** about drinking alcohol or hot beverages in these mugs. The packaging simply says "Cold Cups" with no warnings about what not to put in, be it hot or even cold. They have to tell you everything so the cup doesn't break into your drink! Some people might argue that there is common sense here, but if I always cast 95 percent pure proof I would see common sense. but it's effectively frozen dilute alcohol that most consumers can safely pour into a paper cup. They should at least warn about what these cups are actually made of, what not to pour in, whether the wax is safe. taken in large doses without the knowledge of the consumer etc. I'm trying not to whine, just pay attention as it can harm people if done consistently.
