Review on πŸ“ Precision-Fit Filament Assortment: Ensuring High Dimensional Accuracy for Every Application by Ikki Martini

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Almost back, glad I didn't, now I'm printing great

-- Ignore the green Yoda, the green is from a different brand -- I originally only bought this set because it had the darker versions of green, brown and purple, that were so hard to find in the set. I was very wary after reading the negative reviews, but I needed darker colors and naively believed that my current printing technique would solve other reviewers' problems. I struggled with failed prints for several days using settings that work fine with other filaments. Completely frustrated and ready to return the set, I took a breather and started working on a project for a friend who needed ABS, so I learned how to get ABS to print successfully, which gave me the idea of this Dikal to deal the final blow to PLA. Threads but using some of the techniques I learned with ABS. Now I print a ton with Dikale filament and have no problems. Note that my changes I've made to my printing technique are due to working with ABS, which is why I was wondering if this PLA might have an ABS tint, making it more difficult to print than other PLAs? Anyway, here are my current settings: - Print bed glass - Very light layer of Elmer's glue on print area only - Start layer 70 degrees - Start nozzle layer 200 degrees - Rest of print layer - 60 degree bed - Rest of print nozzle 200 degrees - Leave allow the bed to cool completely before removing but the seal is tenacious, a 50/50 shot of water/alcohol will break the bond. Reason for 4 stars: +10 stars for colors. Yes 10 stars out of 5 because I've searched a lot for a set that had solid dark versions of purple, green, yellow and brown and couldn't find them anywhere. Love the colors (please ignore the green Yoda, this green was a different brand. I wish I had taken more photos of my other prints. Purple is my favorite of all the threads I have right now. Second up is - Hatch – Navy blue glow in the dark was surprisingly good To be fair the whites are ok I prefer a solid bright white but all other colors are nice and solid +5 for value Lots of color variety, lots of filament, great price. Very happy with the purchase. +1 star for poor print adhesion, but you can totally get over that, maybe a star is too critical +1 star for the packaging. There were several rolls. They were almost balloons because they were so filled with air ,tiny sachets with desiccant in them that I was worried about dryness luckily there were no moisture issues I repackaged all the other rolls which were really bad but won't take a picture of them The reel you see in the picture is the worst reel I have left. As you can imagine the vacuum sealer didn't work very well.
