This hub is perfect for my surface pro 7 (most hubs on amazon have been so nice to find for a surface 6 or earlier). It is made of high quality material with a polished black plastic cover. Lightweight and small, it will definitely fit in any pocket you use to carry the surface. It has three USB-A ports and two USB-C ports, as well as two less useful SD/Micro SD ports. I was able to use the USB-C port to charge the PD and display it on an external monitor at 4k resolution. However, according to my test, only via the top USB-C port (so you can't do both at the same time - the solution is to use the factory charger to charge while viewing). The rest of the USB-A ports worked as expected with flash drives. To use USB-c PD charging and connect an external monitor, you need to make sure the hub is fully plugged in. I initially tested with my computer's cover leaving a gap between the hub and the computer, although the hub still worked with USB-A ports with no issues, the USB-C ports did not charge or show up. I hope this advice is helpful.
