Perfect fit for 17 year old check valve
Perfect fit for 17 year old check valve in my irrigation system. The old one was leaking and the rubber O-rings were a non-standard size. All I had to do was replace the old metal cap (after I sanded, primed and painted it) and screwed it in. The new valve only had to be tightened by hand to prevent leaks. I lubricated the O-rings with water-repellent grease to make them last longer. This is much easier than soldering in a whole new valve.
