My old fan started to fail and got too warm for my liking even when not stressed while gaming or running numerous applications (140F at times). I chose this one as it was slightly larger than what I had installed (my PC came pre-built). I'm using an AMD FX-6300 so I didn't have to use the included bracket; although at this point I ran into a small but solvable problem. I needed to attach a heatsink to an existing bracket used in my old build, but the problem was that it was too tall for the clamps. reach. What it took me to unscrew the connection and bend it a bit with pliers and after twisting it again I was able to make the connection as intended. I'm not sure if anyone else needs to do this, but I would suggest trying it yourself. The fan itself is quiet and quiet, which is what I was hoping for when looking for a replacement fan and heatsink. I didn't use the included thermal paste as I bought a graphite thermal pad instead. It's definitely worth the price and isn't overly bright like some of the other devices with all those brightly colored LEDs. I had to give this 4 stars only because of this small quality issue. One size certainly doesn't fit all.
