I just received this product today. I had some problems because I put my QR codes on a black background that doesn't work properly. Everything changed when I scanned QR codes with white backgrounds and made sure the borders were white and not black. (see example image). I am very happy with this device as I now know how QR codes should be rendered. After trying to scan successfully with several different products, I began to understand why it wasn't working the first time I scanned my computer screen, which was done with Adobe Photoshop. When I used Photoshop I had a QR code on a black background. All other products I tried later had a white background. So I changed the Photoshop background to white and put the QR code on top again and it worked. In fact, every product I tried on PC worked until the background was black. In my tests, the background is white. I have yet to repeat tests with this one with a white background. I have now changed my rating to 3 stars. ======================== Update Jul 9, 2018 11:54 AM AMI changed my rating to 4 stars now. QR codes on my Samsung now work if I make sure the QR codes are on a white background with a white border. I originally had a QR code on a black background that didn't work. I didn't give it 5 runs because I didn't test the other features I need, like the ability to customize how prefix and suffix characters are sent. If I do, I'll come back to this review. I used the example image for testing. Please note that this is a white field. If it were in a black box then there would be problems. But as long as the surrounding code color wasn't black, it worked very well. I don't know the result for other colors and won't test it because I don't care at the moment.
