Minor improvements over previous models make this a great scanner

This is a great scanner at a great price. I had previously used an older model with 1D scans and was happy so decided to try this one when we needed more. I feel like CMOS scanning is a lot easier than a laser scanner as you don't really have to line it up, just get closer. It still shows the red line just as a guide, but you can scan from any angle. It also has a white light that illuminates the area for more accurate scanning. This can also scan screens, which is a huge improvement, and we'll

Scans PC screens, phone screens and paper very well. Avoid black backgrounds and borders on QR codes

I just received this product today. I had some problems because I put my QR codes on a black background that doesn't work properly. Everything changed when I scanned QR codes with white backgrounds and made sure the borders were white and not black. (see example image). I am very happy with this device as I now know how QR codes should be rendered. After trying to scan successfully with several different products, I began to understand why it wasn't working the first time I scanned my computerโ€ฆ

SQUARE with ANDROID Detailed installation instructions - WORTH IT.

Easily customizable scanner with easy Bluetooth connectivity. Due to the ability to insert characters before and after the barcode, I think this scanner makes using barcodes in Square on Android pretty easy, and its potential has yet to be unlocked with help from the manufacturer - more info below. Reads codes well, even from shiny bottles. . Sometimes skips the initial read if idle for more than a few minutes, but that's in manual trigger mode and I haven't tried auto-induction mode, whereโ€ฆ
