2009 Yukon Denali - Parts

Replaced factory oil pressure sensor after dash sensor stopped working and was generating DTC. This part can be replaced without removing the top of the engine, but it will be difficult. The oil sensor did not work right after the change. I cleared the fault codes and it worked immediately after restarting the engine. You will need to disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail using a fuel line removal tool and disconnect the breather hose from the valve cover to make room to work. The electrical connector on the sensor faced the front of the car, so I couldn't remove it manually. I used tools to remove the plastic stop and ended up breaking the part that prevents accidental removal. I pushed the soundproof shroud on the back of the engine towards the firewall and was able to see the piece of plastic and used a long flat head to remove the plastic plug. After that piece was removed, I was able to disable the hardness. You will need an oil sensor socket, a swivel and a ratchet extension.
