The image in this listing shows the rubber backing on the surface Small raised pins are visible on this mat. I figured this would help keep the mat in place on my carpeted floor without moving a lot. But firstly, the mat didn't have grooves on the rubber underside. It was a smooth surface. And the carpet moved a lot under the power of my legs. It can stay on tile or concrete surfaces but definitely not on carpet. Buy with caution.
