I bought this to replace my original bite valve which had a hole in the bite. This bite valve has been improved to: - It twists to close, no more annoying dripping - The material feels a little thicker, it might not make the same hole if you bite into it that quickly - It comes with a small cap prevent dirt from building up on the bite valve, I really don't know how well this works and if it's worth the extra weight. Overall, this bite valve appears to be much more functional and better finished, but only time will tell how it holds up.
