Took some time to break them (11 minutes each). the back of the blade as far as possible. They suggest using the Krud Kutter and doing intervals of 1 minute once and 2 minutes 5 times for a total of 11 minutes. This will remove any diamond pieces that may become detached. Then I started working with the old cleavers. Have a 50+ year old cleaver that was only coarsely sharpened with a Lansky disc to finely sharpened with diamond blades and now they cut paper very quickly. I now sharpen planer knives in about a minute and am new to hand sharpening without a knife guide. Nice big and very flat. So far they're quick with all my blades and chisels. I'd like a rough diamond plate to fix some of the old, damaged blades. Thinking about getting another one in a month or so.
