Review on WearEver A834S9 Cook and Strain Stainless ๐Ÿณ Steel Cookware Set 10-Piece - Premium Silver Collection by Wendy Backous

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Will last forever There's one from over 15 years ago that still looks brand new!

Update: It's been almost 3 years and this pan set is still relevant. Just as strong and good as the day I bought them. I recommend these pans from many other pans I've bought over the years that didn't last long. The frying pan I am comparing in the photos is from a more expensive brand and is still in good condition. But they are much more useful. I've washed these pots in the dishwasher hundreds of times over the past three years. They still look great, nothing dangling, nothing rusting. Simply a great set of quality frying pans. I definitely intend to buy these sets for my kids when they move. Old review from 2019: I bought a 3 liter pot of this line from a major store a few years ago and was so impressed that it has become our favorite pot for pretty much anything on the stove. I swore to myself if I ever found a set I would buy it. I had a set of Cuisinart Chef's Classic in my shopping cart for months and even bought a frying pan to try out the line before I found this set at a fantastic price. They are even superior to those based on my comparison with a frying pan. They are heavier and the handles are more ergonomic. The absolute BEST thing about these pans are the strainer lids. I love it. The pot has its own drip lid, completely eliminating the need for a colander, which ironically comes with this set. The included strainer is smaller than it looks in this photo. They definitely don't throw in a pot of spaghetti, although you should. He is also very high on the podium. It may have been included for use as a steamer basket (although it would have been too big for any of these pans). The dishes are quite large. More industrial size than the size most people would use in their personal kitchen. Still very nice. There are two pots in the photo (with the pot in the background) - a 2 liter pot (left) that comes with the kit and a 3 liter pot (right) that I bought many years ago . The new one shines, but not much. I also added photos of how the handles are riveted. The 5 liter pot is riveted like most pots, others have a unique WearEver design which has held up very well to me over the years. It's durable and has never come loose, probably after thousands of runs in the dishwasher. I expect this will be the last set of pans I will ever buy. I also placed the handles on two pans side by side. Chef's classic Cuisinart is on the left and WearEver is on the right. The Cuisinart is made of thicker metal, but the handle is harder to hold because the overall design is thinner. The advantage of WearEver's hollow metal handles is that they never get hot. I've never burned my hand on the handle, no matter how hot the rest of the pan was. The pan is more of an everyday pan with deeper sides than the Cuisinart (almost twice as deep and more vertical). You can sear the chicken in a skillet with a few inches of oil if you do this. It looks more like a deep fryer than a frying pan. It also has a drain lid (common lid with the pot). The bottom is aluminum encapsulated and I couldn't get a good picture, but it looks like it's the exact same bottom type as the Cuisinart Chef's Classic. I can confirm that the bottom of the 15 year old pot hasn't warped or peeled off in all that time. Really, seriously, you won't be unhappy that you bought these pans. I'm so happy I finally found a set for my original orphan pan. I have owned several different brands over the years including several one off purchases of very expensive high end pans. That is undisputed, the quality is no worse than that of the super expensive ones. Don't let the low price fool you. Apparently there are still some manufacturers who value quality at a fair price. GET THIS SET. You will not be disappointed. Especially in this price range. I have two teenage sons who will be leaving the nest soon and I am thinking of ordering kits for them if they don't already have them then.
