These bags seemed to be very durable so I was sure they would be a good buy. However, on a recent trip to the beach, I used a medium-sized bag to keep my phone and money dry during my zodiac river trip. I noticed the water in the bag right at the beginning of the journey. I couldn't figure it out as the zipper was unaffected and the velcro looked fine. Upon closer inspection, I noticed a small tear along the edge where the Velcro tab attached to the bag. I wasn't rough with it and used it for its intended purpose. It is now practically useless for water. I have two other bags but am no longer sure if they are suitable for water use as the other ripped on first proper use.
