Yes I know it's cheaper to buy DMC thread by the piece but I'm just fed up with the crumpled balls from the bins in the shops. The cheaper price just isn't worth the mangled mess that skeins usually make when you try to wind them onto spools. These strands were clean and very easy to separate with no tangles. The color choice isn't anything unique or out of the ordinary, but it's good for the base that every collection needs. The colors were mostly simple pastels, approximating the primitive color collection. There were a few creams, two shades of brown, no black, and the rest of the shades were pastels. Great hideout designer. I also ordered the "Holiday Collection" and there were no duplicates between them. What I spent on extra expenses I more than recouped over time by winding skeins onto spools.
