All the other tires I've tried couldn't get through this gap even if I put my foot up so this was my last Trying to get the hoop that I could use for satin sewing without having to remove the quilting foot every time I had to move the piece.I'm very new to this style of sewing but I'm glad the frame helped me Stitching has given more stability in the direction of the product.The picture shows 3 layers of satin and one layer of stabilizer all in this hoop so it contains a significant amount of material.I squeeze the silver clips and slide them in then twist the silver piece to make sure it's in place I haven't used them for hand sewing yet but they met my machine sewing needs and I'm very happy.
