These work great! Installation requires some thought - lots to think about

I ordered these blinds because we needed something over our new windows and in the remodel of our new kitchen, but we didn't want to distract much from the clean lines of force majeure . window dressing. If you have to look at the big deals, the motorized blinds end up being much higher than they turned out to be, which is why we jumped at the chance to do this via Revain. The risk was previously unjustified! I have a few details and points to think about: 1) We ordered a number of samples to help us decide on the fabric for the shade. Don't be discouraged if you order this - and they say you'll receive it in a month. Not this case. I ordered a test kit and it was there in three days. so it accelerated our ordering ability. 2) If you provide measurements, make sure you follow the naming conventions in the order sections. They have the format they want to see it in. The edge of the housing on the lampshade is about 1/2 inch on the motor side and about 1/4 inch on the other side. 3) in the Custom Measurements and Desired Features sections - there are a few additions to consider. some kind of remote control. I went with a 15 channel and a battery pack. You do NOT need a remote control for each curtain, one can control them all or individually. I have two remotes as we can get more of these for other parts of our house. but can be controlled up to 15 or 16. Also works with Alexa or Google via their devices in combination with a smart plug if you wish. I didn't choose that because I didn't want them to be connected all the time. 4) We chose to mount inside on our windows rather than outside/wall mount to avoid having to keep making holes for different windows. wall processing. ATTENTION: The brackets only hold the lampshade on top, not on the sides. So if you want to attach it to the side of the post, you can't. In our case, I had to modify the spring-loaded mounts. The photo of the bracket from my site shows that our post is too small to use the hole in the top of the bracket. and other holes would have been drilled in the window frames themselves so that was problematic. I drilled a hole in each backrest further from the top - between the two springs, being careful not to disturb the sliding of the clip holding the curtain. It took about 5 minutes to drill six brackets. 5) If you have a window that is well built into the wall, such as a B. the image of the smaller window with plants above, if you MEASURE - be sure to take the smaller of the two measurements between the actual fit of the blinds and the outside edge of the wall box. mine was just too long to just fit in the curtain. I had to flip it and then stick it in the area of the window where it should sit and then tape it in place. My fault - but it worked. Just paint the inside of the wall. 6) You have the option to order a USB cable (5ft or 6ft) when setting up the blinds for charging. This would be extra and unnecessary as EVERY CURTAIN you order will have a cord. it does NOT come with a charger. every block works. 7) My sunglasses appeared to be almost fully charged when I received them. Charge states for 10 hours, then get 3-6 months between charges depending on usage. I'll let you know when I get there. 8) The remote control does not come with a watch size battery to power it. it's a CR2450s.9) My blinds seemed to come pre-programmed into the remote with positions already set. quite easy. and works very well. has an upper and lower setting that you can program to open and close automatically when you want. You can control each one individually or all at once (Channel 0) 10) Installation Considerations - make sure you step in about 5 inches from the end of the blinds if you can. easier to fix the curtain in the clamp. They're spring loaded, you insert the trailing edge of the body into the clip at each end and push - they spring back allowing you to lift the front up and into the stationary clip, and it's that simple. 11) I have the weighted one Rod at chosen the base. is a must in my opinion. five bucks for the blinds, I think it was 12) You can choose which side the motor is on each of your blinds. However, this does not affect the profile of the blinds, only the receiving cable and charging connector are at the other end. Hide the wire behind a shadow and it becomes invisible. (it's about 3 inches long) 13) DELIVERY - when you order blinds - you get a delivery date in one month. I assumed this to be true as they are made to order. However, we received them after 7 days. 14) If you order multiple curtains/blinds and receive them and open them, mine came in multiple boxes. Only one will have your installation instructions if you ordered them in one order at the same time. although I thought they didn't have instructions because I didn't open all the boxes, I looked at the mounting hardware (wood screws with drywall anchors) and then the bracket - you don't really need assembly instructions if you've installed window treatments before. Overall - I had concerns about custom blinds and whether the measurements were translated correctly - and I was pleased. they fit exactly as I had hoped. These are not cheap blinds but they are less expensive than their hardware store counterparts which can be 1/3-2/3 more expensive than these based on my research. . The reasons for this are that the mounting brackets aren't as versatile as they could be (may have additional mounting holes for different post depths) and the fact that I can't comment on battery life yet.
