Review on πŸ”§ Effortless Precision: Wiha 30297 12-Piece Soft Finish Screwdriver Set - Perfect for Slotted and Phillips Tasks by Paul Lewis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I recommend Wiha

I've been using Wiha insulated screwdrivers as an industrial mechanic for several years and they never disappoint. The grip and profile of the handle is amazing, the strength of the metal in the shank and tip of the screwdriver is extremely strong. I've never seen a single chip or twist. And if you use a suitably sized flathead screwdriver on the clasp, the fit is so perfect you'll never have the problem of a screwdriver trying to dislodge from the clasp like most flathead screwdrivers do. I personally think that wiha makes the best screwdrivers in the world, especially considering the price. This is my first non-insulated set but they have the same quality and feel. Anyone complaining that the PH2 isn't sitting properly is due to the profile of the fastening head, not the Wiha screwdriver. Keep in mind that these drivers are made in Germany and many European and Japanese units are of at least slightly better quality than much of what we see here in the US. Manufacturers making Phillips screws for the US market save money by purchasing finer Phillips profile stampings in the screw head. The Wiha PH2 screwdriver is perfect for every device I've ever used it on. At home I came across some cheap screws that didn't match, so my easy way to fix this problem is to buy a cheap PH2 base screwdriver that you can buy at any hardware store, like Husky from Home Depot.
