Review on VOTEX DP002 Stainless Steel Engine Oil Drain Plug with Neodymium Magnet - Made in USA (M12 X 1.75 X 28 MM) by Matthew Riley

Installed on a 2018 Duramax L5P. (Should fit all 2017-2019 Duramax models perfectly) I recently bought a car and was wanting to have the oil refinished so I knew it was done right and while I was at it I decided to switch to a magnetic connector . This plug is expensive but made in the USA, the magnet feels strong and is stainless steel. I've never had problems with oil plug corrosion, but it can happen. What didn't impress me very much was the aluminum disc. I had to add excessive torque as the connector was leaking after initial installation. (Overnight) All I could think about was how pissed I would be if I messed up my oil pan for overtightening. So I personally wouldn't recommend going there with an overpriced washer pack when buying a drain plug. I will try to use some Toyota/Lexus factory washers in the next batch as I have some for the Highlander that appear to be the same size, have sealing material on the crush washer and were actually cheaper. There are other sinks too. To be honest they should have included some extra washers for the price.
