I have a special needs child who is still in diapers. Sometimes the diaper leaks at night so I used my own supply of protective waterproof bedding. This is one of my best protective bedding purchases. The waterproof layer seems thicker than other protective pillowcases I've tried. When you lay the pillow down it actually keeps the air inside, which can be a good or bad thing, but when you lay down on the pillow the air just seems to go past the tiny hole where the zipper stops. This makes it very easy to sew. Liquids will not leak through the seams. Other cheap protectors I've tried have had this problem. My baby had a leaky diaper for the first time last night and wow the pillow stayed dry. As for the noise, it is very quiet. Much quieter than others. Very soft and seems very cool to sleep on. It also appears to be very durable and will last a while as long as you follow the wash/dry instructions. These protective pads are highly recommended. I will update if there are any changes.
