I used to have a mirror kit strapped to the truck mirror. They worked but vibrated a lot and I couldn't adjust the distance outwards to get a better view. I saw them over a year ago and added them to my wish list. I finally bought them this summer. Our first trip with them was last weekend (Labor Day in the US). You were amazing. They still vibrate a bit on my 2014 RAM 1500 ED, but they are very stable. In fact, I was expecting some of them to vibrate when sticking out in a bunch, but I was pleasantly surprised at how limited the vibration was. The field of view was amazing both vertically and horizontally. I can push them out another 2 inches, but it's not necessary. The field of view is so good that I could even see those pesky trailer tires well enough to know which tire was flat if we had one. I could also see the full height of the trailer. Installation was easy and once they were together I was able to simply unscrew the 2 nuts on each one, remove them and put them in the handy pouch that comes with the mirrors. Then I could put it back on and if you don't mess with the mirror adjustment it's back where it was last taken off. Great. The clamps seemed solid to me and I never felt like they might fall off. They didn't move an inch during the 300-mile round trip. While it's not particularly "high quality" in terms of metal parts used, heavy duty, etc., they designed a mirror to do the job. Periodic need for towing. If you need mirrors for more permanent use, e.g. For example, to tow trailers, consider installing OEM/AM towing mirrors. And the last moment. It's clear the team put a lot of thought into these mirrors. The clamps that attach the extensions to the truck's transom have a hinged joint at the top of the clamp platform. This allows the pad to move just enough to lie flat on the maximum possible surface area of the mirror. If they just used a straight piece the rest on slightly curved mirrors wouldn't fit the surface either. You also attach the mirror to the extension with a full screw through the stem, a piece in the mirror mount and through the back of the extension. It doesn't go away on its own. I would recommend these mirrors to anyone towing wide trailers, caravans and gooseneck/5 wheel trailers. I recommend towing only occasionally as the materials and construction may not stand up to everyday use. However, I would not hesitate to take her on a long vacation through the hills, plains and mountains.
