Review on AEM 28 20480 Dryflow Air Filter by Eric Montgomery

Perfect for my 2018 Mazda 3 HB and very easy to install. At first I was concerned that this filter has fewer pleats than the OEM (20 vs 25) but it doesn't. does not degrade performance. Performance improvements are noticeable but not significant. Getting out of line seems easier. The motor actually makes less noise now. In terms of filtration efficiency, FWIW, the OEM filter has a filtration efficiency of 99.7%. The efficiency of this AEM is 99.3%. It will pay off in two years. Dry, unoiled for easy maintenance and ownership. I will have the OEM filter on hand if I need to wash this AEM filter and let it dry.
