I thought I'd save a few bucks and order the Anchor Hocking version of these measuring cups instead of the Pyrex branded version and now I know why they're cheaper. In all my years of using glass measuring cups, I've never broken one in the microwave. I melted a stick of butter in a 2-cup measuring cup, took it out of the microwave, walked across the counter, swirled the butter around in the measuring cup, then "popped" and the whole cup shattered into dozens if not hundreds of tiny pieces of glass . fragments. it didn't even break like tempered glass should. I've never experienced that, ever. But again, I've always used Pyrex glassware. now i know why Save yourself the hassle and buy the real version of Pyrex. Set of 3 measuring cups Anchor Hocking
