So I ordered this SATA hard drive from WD to upgrade my beefy PS3 from 80GB to 500GB. It arrived in excellent condition with decent protection. I was able to install it on my PS3 with no problems except that I had a problem with one of the hard drive screws. One screw was difficult to get in, so I had to tighten it as best I could without damaging the hard drive. My PS3 reformatted the hard drive fairly quickly. Tip after reformatting: If you use USB to update PS3, please make sure all items on USB are "MARKED" properly, otherwise your PS3 will not recognize the file. When I updated my PS3 it couldn't find the update on the flash drive and then I had to boot the USB stick to my computer and rename the file so the PS3 could recognize it. The only issue I have found with my PS3 after updating the hard drives is using and exiting the PS Store. Every time I pressed the cancel button which is 'O' to exit PS Store my PS3 shut itself down instead of properly. But I don't have this problem when I press the PS button and select the exit program when exiting the ps store, but that's just my PS3 idk why it does that, but manually exiting the program seems to have this problem to prevent.
