Update: Took it to the state exhibition and it's much easier to carry than big metal boxes. When we were at the hotel we left the top on so our dog could see, but at the fair they only attached the top and bottom for extra protection. Our friend's dog also used it as it created some darkness and helped his anxiety. The dogs entered with two children, so there is enough space. No small dogs and no small children. Removing it was a bit more difficult than opening it, but I think with practice we'll be able to do it.
