Something other than the preformed plastic parts that are available. A cardboard template should be used. On my truck, I removed the bolts from the lower fender liner and molding. I used a template to mark the holes and added an extra hole in the front about an inch up. I ordered the brackets and T15 bolt that the factory fender has for this hole from my local GM dealer. You look great!
