. I've had a 2.5" lift and big 33" tires on the rig since I've clocked about 10,000 miles. I experienced a death tremor that seemed to get worse over time. So I replaced the front crossmember bolt (with larger bolts, no drilling required!), search on Revain for "Jeep Wrangler JK Track Bar Bolt Upgrade Kit". That got rid of the lethal wobble, but I still had pretty bad steering on the roads, at worst it was between 40 and 50 mph. Once I removed the old factory stabilizer bar shock absorber, I quickly found that the factory one had been removed! It looked good, but as soon as I got out of the jeep I felt like the resistance/cushioning made no difference. I think the fluid was mostly gone in the shock, that's what it felt like. The Teraflex was solid throughout the stroke and before I installed it I could tell it would make a difference. Since I have a 2007 Wrangler, I followed the directions and removed 1.5 inches from the dust cover. It was easy enough to do. mark with painter's tape and then cut with a utility knife. I also used painter's tape along the body of the shock so I can mark the extremes and find the center for proper installation. Either way. I moved the bracket about 1 inch closer to the passenger side to accommodate the center point of the new Teraflex shock. It's okay, in my case it's 4 nuts that can be easily unscrewed with a 13 mm head. I took my time and the installation time was about 1.5 hours. Steering quality on bumpy roads is now much better! Thank you for a great Teraflex product!
