I am a beginner knitter and have a good set of spare needles from another brand but I needed 16 inch needles and the spare tips are too long for a short line. came across this listing (and another listing from the same seller with a second set of opposite sizes) and decided to take both sets to make a complete set with no missing sizes.Overall I'm very happy with the needles given the price! Pros: the lugs are very smooth, no dents or rough edges, good weight, I like the bend before connecting, the connection is very strong and smooth, and the cables are flexible but strong with no memory. they are all true to size. I was impressed with the size range, some much more expensive branded sets I've found in 16" only went up to a size 11 so I appreciate the more choice especially for the price! Cons: They actually measure 17.5-18.5 inches from tip to tip, not 16 inches. The cords themselves measure 9.5 inches, and depending on the size of the needles, the tips range in size from 4 inches (the smallest size) to 4.5 inches (the largest size). I haven't had any major issues with the extra length so far, but I can see it annoying for people planning to use them for small projects where the extra 2 inches can make a big difference. quite blunt, especially the larger sizes which I mostly use as I like to work with heavier gauges. You can work with them, but once you get used to good sharp points, they feel a bit unwieldy! much to do with this particular set, but another set I purchased (same seller, different listing) actually showed as 40" instead of 16" as it was listed. I have reordered and will be returning a longer set so will refrain from reviewing until I receive the correct set but I think the reviews will be pretty much the same. Not sure why they don't have the option to just get the full set! Overall I would definitely recommend them - if you're a beginner knitter who wants different sizes but doesn't want to invest tons right away, be it because, you knit a lot of very small projects like baby pieces where the extra 2 inches will be very noticeable, or if you're just looking for a decent set of budget needles!
