Not to be overdone on dice games

My family bought a regular Catan game for Christmas after reading so many rave reviews and recommendations online. It was hard to learn, the graphics were bad, and my sister didn't like it at all. I found the concept interesting and wanted to try again, but couldn't find 2 more players after the first round. I chose a dice game because you can play with just 2 people and in a much shorter time. In fact, this is a Yahtzee with different dice. Not a big deal, but I'd just as well play Yahtzee since everyone is already familiar with dice rolls.
