A loose Z-axis will cause the spindle motor to slip down when milling.

It looks and feels solid but has more play than the stock plastic spindle mount and the lead screw turns with enough vibration. Otherwise, if the one I got is defective, it won't work with one of those 500 watt brushed spindle motors because the Z-axis moves by itself when you turn the motor on. I'm still debating whether to try again. I'll give 5 stars if the lead screw doesn't move!
