A loose Z-axis will cause the spindle motor to slip down when milling.

It looks and feels solid but has more play than the stock plastic spindle mount and the lead screw turns with enough vibration. Otherwise, if the one I got is defective, it won't work with one of those 500 watt brushed spindle motors because the Z-axis moves by itself when you turn the motor on. I'm still debating whether to try again. I'll give 5 stars if the lead screw doesn't move!

Z Axis Linear Bearing Replacement

I am writing this review because there is an inaccurate review that says Z Axis Linear Bearings cannot be replaced. It is not true. They can be replaced. The bearing axis is milled straight through on the inside without a rib. Bearings can be inserted from one side. This is a through hole. The linear bearing size is 10mm x 19mm x 55mm in the Z axis. I ordered the bearings from mcmaster-carr and received 4 sizes 10mm x 19mm x 29mm so they double in each hole but if you can find the whole size…

Maintenance free bearings that fail immediately after the reversal window and are NON-INTERCHANGEABLE. Junk

This is pure rubbish. The bearings have incredible play. After 30 hours of operation, it was louder than the original proofer. The bearings then fail and create useless play. If you press them out and replace them with good quality ones, you'll find that the z and x bottom bracket bearing seats have internal burrs that prevent them from being pushed through. They are also pressed flush with the shoulder, which prevents a tool from grabbing the bushing and pulling it out. After 31 days, I have…
